About Shell

I am living in the final year of my 30's, and in some ways not looking forward to the next decade that awaits me, but in other ways..... pretty excited.

I am a stay at home mom, and proud of it.  I realize it is a blessing to be able to say that, while I know there are others out there who wish they could, but for other reasons, are not able to at this time.  But I am in no way ashamed either to stay at home raising my children if I have the opportunity.

I have 5 beautiful children.  Our first baby, McKenna, passed away in February of 1998 after receiving a double lung transplant.  4 more children followed her; 2 boys, then 2 girls, ranging in age from (currently) 4 1/2 - 13.

I try to help manage the books for my husband's electrical contracting business.  I am married to the hardest worker I know.  We have been married 16 years this October.

We live in the home I grew up in, and I'm so grateful for that.  Although this home brings many memories to the forefront of my mind, and was designed and built by my father, we are also putting our own mark on it, and therefore living in a remodel. Have been for about 6 years now.  It's taking time, but so worth it.

My likes:

My husband and children
Reading
Singing
My religion
Creating cards/scrapbooks
Traveling
Vegging in front of the our big screen watching movies with hubby and/or children
Conservative values
My country
Bike riding
Walking
Our Military

My dislikes:

Onions
Mushrooms
Those who do not value our Constitution and respect our founding fathers
Being taxed to death
A messy house
Cooking

Right now, in my church, I am serving as the ward (our congregation of members) Primary Chorister.  I enjoy the calling, the ability to be creative each week, and sing my heart out with those little ones.  It can be a very rewarding assignment.
